Bright, bold, and beautifully balanced—your rhubarb candle deserves a little love to keep it burning clean and smelling amazing from first light to final flicker. Here’s how to care for it safely and get the most out of every burn.
Burn Smart
Before lighting, trim the wick to about 5mm. This simple step helps control the flame, reduces smoke, and encourages a cleaner, longer-lasting burn. On your first use, allow the wax to fully melt across the top layer—this sets the stage for even burning and prevents tunneling down the center.
Limit each burn to no more than 4 hours to preserve the fresh, fruity scent of your plum and rhubarb candle. Always burn on a flat, heat-safe surface, and stop using the candle when only about 5mm of wax remains.
To keep the fragrance pure and the flame steady, ensure the wax surface stays free from debris, like wick trimmings or dust.
Snuff the Right Way
Avoid blowing out your candle—use a wick snuffer instead. This helps minimize smoke, protects the wick, and keeps melted wax where it belongs. Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting your black plum and rhubarb candle.
