Our Story

Unburnt Home Fragrance was started by Emma and Andy Billings in 2023. Emma has had a love of candles and wax melts for many years and would always take any available opportunity to add to her collection, much to Andy’s insistence that she had plenty!

Emma’s love of candles became a hobby in 2023 when she began making her own candles and wax melts for use in our family home after Andy bought her a candle making kit for her birthday. Friends and family visiting our home soon enquired where the candles had originated from and when Emma told them she had made them herself, she was encouraged to sell them.

We’ve even had comments from door to door sales people who've knocked on our door in the summer, when the windows were open, asking where the lovely smell in the street was coming from.  They were likely just trying to get a sale, but we took the compliment anyway - true story!

Our friends and family soon had a ready supply of candles along with people in our village who purchased via our Facebook page. We then began selling at local makers markets and Unburnt was born!
