Caring for Your Hazelnut Praline Candle

Fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced—your lime and basil candle is more than just a fragrance; it's an experience. To keep your space smelling its best and your candle performing beautifully, a little mindful care goes a long way.

Burn It Right

Before each lighting, trim the wick to around 5mm. This keeps the flame controlled, reduces smoke, and ensures a cleaner burn. On the first use, let the wax melt all the way across the top to avoid tunneling and encourage an even burn for future use.

To maintain the crisp, botanical scent of your basil and lime candle, limit each burn to no more than 4 hours. Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, and stop burning once about 5mm of wax remains in the jar.

For optimal performance, keep the surface of the wax clean and free from dust, wick trimmings, or other debris.

Snuff with Care

Skip the blow-out—use a wick snuffer to extinguish your candle. This reduces smoke, protects the wick, and helps avoid splattering hot wax. Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before relighting your lime basil candle.

Safety First

If you're lighting multiple lime candles or basil candles in your space, keep them at least 10cm apart to prevent overheating. Keep away from open windows, vents, and anything flammable. And of course, never leave your candle unattended—and keep it out of reach of pets and little ones.
